WEIRD AND WONDERFUL

MCQUEEN SHOES!
Watching Lady Gaga's new video of Bad Romance, i noticed these amazing shoes and found that they were by Alexander Mcqueen. They definitely look painful but who wouldnt suffer to make a statement in these fantasy, killer looking heels!
If i had a pair of these my life would be a lot better :)

LOVE FUR AND PRINTS!

FLOOFIES!

Shaggy Sheepskin Mulberry Jacket (y)
Probably one of the best things since sliced bread! for this winter. Although some may feel a completely wolly wearing it, i would definitely purchase one of these to keep me toasty!
Although in some ways it reminds me of the cookie monster from the legendary Sesame Street :/
Anyway i'm a big fan of floofie stuff this winter, i just wish that i still had my yeti boots that my mum passed down to me a few years ago, they were amazing! and vintage!

POPS LOVES THE CHRYSLER BUILDING!

Using some of the amazing Gareth Pugh scultured pieces lends a completely modern feel to image that blends so naturally with the surroundings of the Chrysler Building.
I've always viewed Pugh's work as been so individual and different from others in that it is more a form of art rather than fashion, and in some ways explains his financial struggles. However after furthering my studies in sculptural fashion it has only hindered my opinion on Pugh's work, as now i see it more as a modern take on Thierry Mugler's work during the 80's till present day.
Being a fashion designer in training I believe that in today's society to create something so fresh and new is almost impossible as fashion is constantly spinning in a circular motion and so I admire the more recent designers who have taking inspiration from the past and interpreted it in their own way.
