ANDROGYNOUS FASHION

Today, during my study of the late 1920's fashion movements, i came across the concept of androgynous.
I'd already researched the movement in 1927/8 where females began to burst out of their corsets and embrase the art of tailored suits.
I've always been aware of the more masculine inspired garments like "boyfriend jeans", "the boyfriend blazer" etc etc, but to be quite honest i'd never really actually thought about why and when this inspiration blossomed, until today.
So during my reaerch i decided to link both the past and the present together since they have so much in common. During this, i came across this visually asthetic photo of Agnes Dean.
I truely believe in the phrase "a picture says a thousand words", and i think this is a perfect example!
Although her clothes and persona portrays masculinity, her scowling expression and relaxed gaw gives a completely different sense of term, and instead has sex appeal written all over it! There's no doubt that cropped hair, skinny frame and oversized masculine garments are the one of the cutest looks in fashion! well in my opinion =/
